How To Order Lenses
Step One - Contact your eye doctor. Make sure that they will approve you for lenses when we fax them. This is so important! Don't assume your eye doctor will just say yes. You need to have been fit for lenses by your eye doctor. Placing a quick call to your eye doctor makes it easier for us to prepare all of the paperwork required under federal law. Giving your eye doctor a heads up also often means they will fax us the approval back resulting in you getting your new lenses faster!
Step Two - Make sure all of your eye doctors information is correct! If you do not know your eye doctors fax number you will need to call them and get it. Orders with incomplete or inaccurate information will be deleted.
Listen up kids. There is no way around this. The law is very strict and we are dedicated to making sure you get the safest product possible.
FDA now considers all contact lens a medical device (this includes plano lenses) and can only be sold with the involvement of a Eye Care Professional.
Let's clarify exactly what the law is
and how it effects you:
Everyone's eyes are different. Correct? The law states that you must have a contact lens fitting on file with an eye care professional within the past year even if you do not need prescription lenses. This ensures that our stock theatrical lenses will fit you properly and that you have been instructed on how to care for contact lenses. C'mon guys... these are your EYES! So many things... bad, evil, things can happen to your vision if you wear lenses that don't fit properly or if you don't clean and care for them properly!!! Imagine buying a pair of shoes that were 3 sizes too small... and wearing them for an entire month! You could wreck your feet! Well, multiply that by 1000 and that's what it's like wearing contact lenses that don't fit!!
Even if you do not have an eye doctor you can still go and get a contact lens fitting! Even some Wal-Mart locations have a vision center and you can get a lens fitting for under $50 in most cases! This fitting is good for an entire year!
Remember. You MUST complete the contact info for your eye care professional! If any information is incorrect (especially the FAX number) your order will be cancelled. If you do not know the fax number CALL AND GET IT. If we do not have a valid fax number we cannot verify your lenses and your entire order will be cancelled. We cannot stress this enough!

We realize there are places on the internet where you can buy lenses at dirt cheap prices. But these lenses, more often than not, are NOT FDA approved or regulated for safety. We have found some companies selling lenses that can actually be toxic to your eyes! Vampfangs has gone through the enormous time and expense to make sure that your lenses are among the safest and most comfortable theatrical contact lenses in the world!
The bottom line is as simple as this.
Is it really worth jeopardizing the safety of your eyes to save $20 on cheap non-regulated lenses? Be safe. Order lenses the correct way and protect one of the most important assets you have; YOUR VISION!
